Chez Nous French Club

By: Catherine Grace Polatidis ‘26

Each year, Notre Dame conveys a new theme that Chez Nous students express in their own form. This school year's theme emphasizes creativity, pushing students to find their innovative roots. One way this has been shown so far is through the creation of new extracurricular clubs, especially the Chez Nous French Club.

The first French Club meeting took place on October 19th from three to four, where a small group of students met up to celebrate the new affiliation. They gathered to share their personal experiences concerning France and what they hope to achieve in the following years. Room 203 was adorned in French flags and cookies to enhance the French atmosphere, the students were enriched by this tres jolie aura. The members also shared some ideas they had for future meetings; one student voiced interest in a French lunch, while other members spoke about different French films which they knew.

The French Club aspires to immerse Chez Nous sisters in French culture and history through a friendly and enriching environment, where peers can gather through fun events like game nights and exhibition trips. The club itself hopes to prosper in the future and become a staple in the Notre Dame community.
