Get to Know the New Faculty!

As the 2025-26 school year begins, we welcome the incoming freshman and returning students and staff to a new beginning. However, this year in particular is special: Notre Dame welcomes four new faculty members in the community! Our new staff members includes Ms. Lee, Ms. Mitchell, Dr. Dito, and Ms. Myers. I asked them to answer a few questions about themselves and their journey to Notre Dame, here are there responses!

Ms. Lee

Ms. Lee is the Music Director and teaches 9th grade Choral Music, 10th grade Choral Music II, and 12th grade Intro to Music Theory. 

What is your favorite TV show?

“My favorite television shows are The X Files and Twin Peaks! I love creepy and paranormal stuff (and aliens). As Fox Mulder says, the Truth is Out There.”

Do you have any pets?

“I have two darling and ‘musical' cats, Smeagol and Spartacus. Smeagol is a singer and Spartacus plays the ukulele. They especially like to practice at 4am.”

How do you feel about joining the Chez Nous community and starting the school year?

“I am excited to be part of the Chez Nous community. Everyone has been really lovely: faculty, staff, students. I can't wait for the Christmas Choral Gala.”

What inspired you to work in a school/become an educator?

“I have always wanted to be an educator. All of my heroes when I was a kid were educators and it has been important to me to give back in that way.” 

Trinit’y Mitchell

Ms. Mitchell teaches 9th grade Health and Well-being, 9th grade Technology and Literacy, 10th grade Chemistry, and Technology 10 (Digital ART). 

What is your favorite food/cuisine?

“I have a lot of favorite foods, but at the moment I am in love with Indian cuisine!”

What is your favorite TV show?

“My favorite TV show is basically whatever I am watching at the moment. I just finished ‘Alchemy of Souls’. It's a K-Drama and I was and still am obsessed. I am a sucker for romance.”

What is your favorite genre of music and recommend a song!

“I cannot say my favorite genre, only because I am a music fanatic and I love finding new songs. My current song rec is ‘Brown Eyed Lover’ by Allen Stone and ‘Loud’ by Olivia Dean.”

What are some of your hobbies?

“I like to sing, watercolor, cook, and crochet. Instead of books, I listen to podcasts and right now my favorite two are OP said and Comfort Level Podcast.”

How do you feel about joining the Chez Nous community and starting the school year?

“When I joined the Chez Nous Community, I was skeptical that this would be a great community because I always hope for the best, but think the worst. This school truly holds up to its values, and it has been an interesting, but great start to the school year.”

What inspired you to work in a school/become an educator?

“I never thought of myself being a teacher. I never wanted it. I thought it was something I wasn't ready to give, but God has other plans and this is where I ended up. It has become a passion of mine. I love watering other people's gardens and seeing how they bloom.”

Kelly Myers

Ms. Myers is one of the two school nurses. 

What is your favorite genre of music and recommend a song!

“I’m a big music fan and enjoy many different genres, but one of my all-time favorite artists is Prince. I’ve always admired how he blended so many musical styles into something completely his own—and I was lucky enough to attend his final concert at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta!”

What is your favorite TV show?

“I’m a fan of the classic ‘Brat Pack’ movies like Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, and The Breakfast Club—they never get old.”

How do you feel about joining the Chez Nous community and starting the school year?

“I am so excited to be a part of the Chez Nous community. I love helping students take a proactive approach to their health and well-being.”

What inspired you to work in a school/become an educator?

“School nursing has always been a passion of mine, and I feel grateful to continue this work in such a supportive environment.”

Matt Dito

Dr. Dito teaches 9th grade Biology, 12th grade Applied Chemistry, and 12th grade Consumer Math. 

What is your favorite movie/TV show?

“My favorite TV show is Blade Runner.”

What is your favorite genre of music?

“I enjoy listening to EDM or mellow electronic beats and jazz”

What are some of your hobbies?

“Some of my hobbies include flying RC vehicles, running, and reading science fiction. My favorite book is Diaspora by Greg Egan.”

Do you have any pets?

“I have 2 cats.”

How do you feel about joining the Chez Nous community and starting the school year?

“Everyone has been very warm and welcoming and I'm excited to join a great team of teachers.”

What inspired you to work in a school/become an educator?“Working with young people is always fun and exciting and never dull. They keep me sharp and teach me new things everyday.”
