Gilmore Girls is a hit show from the 90‘s - early 2000‘s. It recently became popular again around 2022, as the 90’s and ‘downtown girl’ fashion trend became popular among the younger generations. Gilmore Girls is a intimate show about a young mother, Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, also named Lorelai Gilmore, referred to as Rory. The show displays their relationship and how they grow up together throughout the seven seasons, becoming a comfort to its fan base due to its nostalgic and small town aura. It‘s most recognized for its fall vibe, and its distinct 90‘s-2000‘s look.
Rory Gilmore, played by Alexis Bledel, is an incredibly smart girl, and is consistently focused on her schoolwork. She loves academic validation and receiving a B is considered her worst nightmare. Her love for learning and schoolwork were the factors that helped her get into an Ivy league school, further solidifying her role as the brainiac of the show.
Lorelai Gilmore, played by Lauren Graham, is the complete opposite. As a teenager, she didn‘t care much for school and skipped college as she took care of her child starting from 16. She is known for her humor and bubbly personality, and is an all time favorite character on the show.
Gilmore Girls is an incredible series that teaches us about the importance of family in our lives and making the best of our situations.
