Halloween is one of the most enchanting holidays celebrated across the world,
where children and adults alike dress up as whomever they desire to be. The candy and spooky decorations are what really makes Halloween so memorable. One of the best places to celebrate Halloween is in Brooklyn, NYC. There are a plethora of festive activities and parades in Brooklyn every Halloween season.
One event in Brooklyn is the Halloween Festival in Bay Ridge. People from all
over the city come to participate in all sorts of spooky activities, such as trick or treating, pumpkin decorating, haunted trucks, and more. Families and anyone who wants to participate are invited, and everyone is encouraged to wear costumes. Tickets are free and the event is on October 26 from 3 to 7pm. Overall this seems like a very fun and exciting event during the Halloween season as there are multiple activities everyone can participate in.
Another Halloween event during the fall season is Greg’s Great Pumpkin
Patch on 555 7th Ave. Gregory Walsh is the founder of Greg’s Trees, which is where many people buy their Christmas trees. He started a pumpkin patch in Brooklyn, where families can enjoy festive Halloween events such as dog costumes, pumpkin painting and patch, and Halloween shops filled with festive decorations. This patch is great for everyone of all ages and creates new memories during the Halloween season.
Another popular event in Brooklyn is the Park Slope Halloween Parade on October 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. This annual parade was first celebrated in 1986
and is a great event to dress up for. The parade starts at 14th and 7th Avenue, which then continues north on 7th avenue and it finishes at J.J. Byrne Playground at the Old Stone House. There will be singing, dancing, trick-or-treating, and plenty of people handing out candy. The decorations in Park Slope are truly spectacular with variations of Halloween decor. People of all ages are invited.
These were only a handful of exciting events taking place in Brooklyn this year.
There are many more events to look out for, such as Haunted Houses, trick-or-treating, and more parades. More events are also found in other boroughs of NYC. These events are part of the joy of living in NYC, where Halloween and autumn as a whole are embraced.
